Why The Game Show Experience Studio Stands Apart

The Game Show Experience Studio is a service of Game Show Gurus, Inc.—a company that has been presenting live game shows since 1995. For more than 30 years, we’ve brought interactive entertainment to schools, corporate events, promotional activations, and private celebrations of every size. In 2022, we opened The Game Show Experience Studio to give smaller groups a dedicated venue without the stress of finding a space.

Recently, game show rooms have been popping up across the country, including here in the Chicago area. So what makes us different?

We’re Not a Theme Park Attraction—We’re Real Entertainment Professionals

Many mall-based game show rooms are owned by investors whose goal is to fill their rooms 10 hours a day. They operate like amusement attractions, often staffed by minimum-wage hosts with little experience (as confirmed by their own job postings). Some of these rooms max out at 14 people and run strictly timed one-hour shows. When we secret-shopped one of these locations, the host lacked personality, the experience felt impersonal, and we were even grouped with another family. Each game lasted about 10 minutes—just enough to keep the schedule moving, but not enough to create real fun or connection.

Our Studio Is Built on Experience, Personality, and Quality

The Game Show Experience Studio is independently owned and operated by long-time entertainment veteran Jeff. He hosts most events personally. When he’s not available, one of his hand‑picked, highly experienced emcees steps in—never a random hire.

Our shows run 90 or 120 minutes, with the option to host your entire party in our space (adding extra time for you). You’re welcome to bring in food, and your event is always private. You’ll never be asked to play with strangers.We can seat up to 36 guests comfortably, or up to 50 in a theater-style layout.
